CHANGING LANDSCAPES // CONSERVATORIUM CONCERT

16 mei @ 20:00 - 21:00

‘Changing Landscapes’ is een project van masterstudenten van het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen, afkomstig uit verschillende hoeken van de wereld. Hun instrumenten, hun lichamen, hun stemmen zijn gevormd door vele talen.
Maar hier in Antwerpen, deze plek van oefening en spel, beginnen ze dezelfde melodie te horen.

Changing Landscapes—a project by Master’s students of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, hailing from different corners of the world. Their instruments, their bodies, their voices shaped by many languages.
But here, in Antwerp—this place of practice and play—they’ve begun to hear the same melody.

It is not new.
It is the sound of wind through leaves.

There was a time when the rhythm of life moved with the land.
Seasons set the pace, and nature thrived.

But things shifted.
Towns became cities, fields gave way to factories, and the balance tipped.

Nature didn’t disappear.
She pulled back. Waited.

Lately, something has changed again.
People have started to look up, to plant, to listen—to the wind, the soil, and each other.

It’s not perfect. It’s not fast.
But it’s happening.

In our music, there is space to breathe. In our choreography, space to feel.
In our voices, questions—not just about technique, but about meaning.

We are artists, but also listeners, witnesses, and rebuilders.
We plant trees in our stories and build bridges in our scores.

The landscape is still changing.
But this time, maybe, we are changing too.

With every note, every step, every pause—we choose hope.

Not the kind that waits.
But the kind that acts.
